Roy Miles III President

Roy Miles III, is a 3rd generation Nashvillian, and their family is listed in the “first Families of Tennessee”.  Roy graduated Hillwood High in 1974 receiving the Industrial Arts award.  He graduated MTSU in 1978, with a BS in Industrial Arts. Having enjoyed woodworking and remodeling, after working for The Pollack Company, he formed The Miles Company, a remodeling and repair company whose niche was to do the smaller jobs that the larger companies were unable to do effectively.  They offered “remodeling and repair for the do-it-yourselfer who finds himself in a pinch”.   

 

The Miles Company applied for and obtained their General Contractor’s license in the 1980’s with their focus being on doing the job right the first time.  Roy has been a member of the Middle Tn Hombuilders Association since the late 80’s and served as HBAMT Remodelers Council president in 1997.  He has earned the “Certified Remodeler” designation fron the National Association of the Remodeling Industry, as well as “Certified Graduate Remodeler,” “Certified Aging in Place Specialist” and “Certified Green Professional” from The National Association of Homebuilders.  He was awarded the Homebuilder’s Association of Middle TN, Remodeler of the Year in 2011.  “No matter how many designations or letters you may place after your name, our focus is on doing the best job for our clients, communicating, being honest, and doing what is right by our clients” Miles says.  Roy has been a member of the Bellevue Chamber for around 15 years and was also made a Lifetime Board member of the Middle Tennessee Homebuilders Association. 

 

Aside from remodeling, Miles has been a Licensed Motorcycle Safety Instructor, is currently a TWRA Licensed Hunter Education instructor, is a Licensed Private Pilot, is vice president of the local Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 162, is building an airplane in his barn, is a Mason and Shriner a member of the Flying Fez, and lives on a small farm in Craggie Hope, just outside of Kingston Springs with his wife Lori.
